Honouring December 1st – The World AIDS day, SUPRAM prepared a lecture titled ‘Medical law aspects of pregnancy of HIV positive women’, on 30 November 2013.
The lecture was given by Dr Marta Sjenicic, fellow with the Institute of Social Sciences Belgrade and SUPRAM president.

She also scrutinised the National Guidelines for primary care physicians with regard to pregnancy treatment (2005) that requires physicians to recommend HIV testing to all pregnant women. Several cases were presented in the lecture from several countries, focusing on the privacy rights and the right to life in the context of testing. In the discussion afterwords, numerous problems emerged that the medical professionals are facing in dealing with the given issues and the challenges that await Serbia in the future.
