On March 18 and  19 2021, the Institute of Social Sciences – Center for Legal Research, in cooperation with the Faculty of Law of Erasmus University in Rotterdam, the Faculty of Law of the University of Maribor and the Association for Medical and Health Law of Serbia (SUPRAM) international conference “Responses to COVID crisis in Central and Eastern European Countries – New Frontiers of Health Law”.

The conference was divided in five 5 panels: responses to the health crisis, distribution of vaccines during the pandemic, COVID crisis and human rights, the right to health in relation to other human rights, new challenges in health law. The meeting was attended by 50 experts in the field of health law who dealt with the response to the COVID crisis in the region of Central and  Eastern Europe (CEE). The conference was an opportunity to discuss measures implemented and results  achieved in the first year of the pandemic.

At the closing of the conference, the need for a larger number of such gatherings, the importance of continuing scientific cooperation and exchange of experiences on the situation at the global level, as well as in  CEE countries, in the context of the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic, was stated.

The conference was held through the Zoom application, due to the epidemiological situation and  current measures in place.
