“Persons with Disabilities in Serbia”, a book by M. Markovic

SUPRAM Secretary General and  junior research fellow of the Institute of Social Sciences in Belgrade, Milan M. Markovic authored a special book dedicated to the newly created data on persons with disabilities in Serbia, based on the national census in 2011.

This data is for the first time available and the author succeeded in creating new information through special cross-use of census questions on functional difficulties. The areas addressed in the book aim at measuring the “equality of opportunity” between the general population, population with disabilities and persons with disabilities in residential institutions.

The publisher is the State Statistical Office of Serbia, and the financial support came from the European Union funds.
