International day of Rare Diseases – February 28th, was marked in the Ceremonial Hall of the Medical faculty of the University of Belgrade, at the conference organised by the National organisation for Rare Diseases – NORBS and Clinical center of Serbia. Speakers on the conference were dr Zlatibor Loncar-Minister of Health, dr Nebojsa Lalic- Dean of the Medical Faculty in Belgrade and other experts in the field of rare diseases. In her speech, Ms Marija Joldic from NORBS represented the project „Equitable Policies and Services for Rare Diseases Patients“, which has been implemented by SUPRAM in cooperation with NORBS and the Institute for Molecular Genetics and Genetic Engineering, and with the financial support of European union.

International day of Rare Diseases is celebrated on the intiative of European Organisation for Rare Diseases – EURORDIS on the last day of February, with the purpose to raise awareness on rare diseases and to introduce the publicity with the problems of rare diseases patients.
